AREA 919's owner, Michael Garden, first entered the art world as founder/owner of The Art Display Service, Inc. in New York City in the 1980's. His company engaged in the placement and installation of all manner of artwork and antiques for galleries, museums, corporations, and private collectors. Repeat clients included: Andre Emmerich Gallery, Pierre Matisse Gallery, Ricco Maresca Gallery, The Rockefeller Foundation, The Nabisco Corporation, The Museum of Moving Image, Timothy Hutton, Robert Greenberg, and Kristina Johnson. AREA 919 continues to offer consultation and installation services with regard to purchase and placement of art and antiques.
